Follow Up/
Maintenance Sessions
30 - 45 mins
A minimum of 3 sessions is generally recommended for dogs to become accustomed to massage and to address muscular tension. Follow up sessions are tailored to the needs of each individual dog and may vary in duration.

Maintenance sessions are useful to keep the canine body mobile and address any muscular imbalances before they build up into a problem. The aim of these sessions is to keep the musculoskeletal system functioning to the best of its ability and promote overall wellbeing.

*standard price for travel within a 30km radius from Frankston. For non locals, a travel fee may be applicable. Feel free to contact us for further information.
FAQ
Do I need to prepare anything for the massage sessions?
Answer
It will be helpful to have your dog wearing a collar and be on lead for walking assessments. During the treatment, collars may be removed to get better access to the body. We will bring along any other equipment needed.
Do I need to book follow up or maintenance treatments?
Answer
A minimum of 3 sessions are generally recommended for new clients. This is because the techniques used in a massage treatment are quite different to petting which means some dogs take a bit of extra time to warm up to the touch and gain confidence in the process. Majority of dogs have never had a massage treatment which means their body needs time to adjust and rebalance after each session. Muscular tension can also have been built up over many years and therefore takes a few sessions to address. Just like if you were experiencing a sore shoulder for many months, visiting a massage therapist for one session only is unlikely to give you the same results as what a few sessions will do.
Depending on the needs, activity level and lifestyle of your dog regular maintenance sessions can be a great way to address muscular tension on a monthly, bi-monthly or at any time your dog may need a session. Follow up and maintenance sessions are discussed during a treatment.
My dog is on medication, can they still have a massage?
Answer
In this instance, we encourage you to consult with your vet to see if massage will have an effect on medications before commencing a treatment. Massage can affect the uptake of medications in some instances, so vet approval is recommended.
Where do you service?
Answer
